outstanding and beautiful part of the west coast of Ireland. League is the Gaelic
name for a formation of cliffs and Slieve the name given to the cliffs in this
stunning location. Words can’t really do the location the justice it merits so below
are a selection of images of Slieve League and the surrounding area. Photography and this beautiful place being such a
passion of mine I will continue to add and update these images as I continue my journey of exploration of this beautiful area.
First discovering this wild area about 10 years ago, it wasn’t long before I decided that occasional visits were never going to be enough and purchased an old croft tucked between mountains and lochs. In fact, the only dwelling in the townland. This allowed me more time to investigate this atmospheric land. Rugged, colourful and spacious – I adored it. Friendly too.
You’d never know to look at me but, I’ve always been intrigued by textiles and quality hard-wearing fashion. Guess what? There’s no escaping it here in County Donegal. The craftsmanship and depth of colour in these yarns is second to none.
I am looking forward to developing more colours and coming up with more designs. Make sure you check the website regularly for new stuff. This is exiting!
